  • Payments: Domestic

    Action Music accepts cash, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and money orders. We also accept cashier’s checks, and personal checks, but funds must clear the bank before we will ship. We do not accept American Express. We also accept wire transfers, but the customer is responsible for all wire transfer fees (theirs and ours).

  • Payments: International

    Action Music accepts wire transfers and bank cashier’s checks ONLY in U.S. dollars. The customer is responsible for all wire transfer fees. All funds must clear the bank before we will ship. Due to regulations, we cannot accept credit cards for international shipments.

  • Shipping: Domestic

    We carefully pack and fully insure your instrument before shipping it with UPS or your preferred carrier. Domestically, we ship using UPS; we can use FEDEX or USPS upon request. THE CUSTOMER IS FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CLAIMS THAT OCCUR DURING SHIPMENT.

  • Shipping: International (including Canada)

    PLEASE NOTE: ALL PURCHASES WILL SHIP ONLY AFTER PAYMENT CLEARS. THIS MAY TAKE UP TO 5 DAYS. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING.

    Internationally, we usually use UPS (United Parcel Service) or Schenker; most instruments are too large to be shipped USPS (United States Postal Service). THE CUSTOMER IS FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CLAIMS THAT OCCUR DURING SHIPMENT. We will not understate values or ship instruments as “Gifts” to our overseas customers, so please don’t ask. International customers are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, V.A.T., etc. We reserve the right to refuse international shipments that we feel are of high risk (i.e., we don’t ship to countries with reputations for Internet fraud, such as Indonesia or Nigeria). We ship new amps. We do not ship used or vintage amps, due to their fragility.

  • Returns

    ACTION MUSIC RETURN POLICY

    We want you to be happy with all of your purchases, but we understand that every once in a while things don’t work out.  In the event you need to make a return, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.

    Within 48 hours of purchase

    In-Store Purchases: Refund less 5% credit card transaction fee, or 100% exchange

    Online Purchases: The 48 hour approval period begins with your receipt of the item.  Please contact us immediately if you need to make a return.  Refund less 5% credit card transaction fee, all shipping and insurance costs (to and from) are the responsibility of the purchaser and are non-refundable.

    After 48 hours, within 10 days (in store purchases only)

    In-Store Purchases: May be returned/exchanged for store credit only, less 10% restocking fee

    All returns/exchanges are subject to the following:

    • All returns/exchanges require your original sales receipt

    • New merchandise must be in new condition with all original packaging and materials

    • Used merchandise must be in the same condition and with all materials provided at sale

    • Customer is responsible for any and all shipping fees, shipping fees are non-refundable

    • All refunds will be returned to original credit card or by company check

    • In the event of a defective item, please contact us immediately

    At Action Music, we want all of your shopping experiences to be pleasant and our goal is to help people have fun and enjoy playing music.  These are policies are in place to help us provide the best service and products we can while covering our basic transaction costs.  Thank you for your support and understanding!

  • Warranties

    Action Music warranties all its instruments (used and new) for 30 days from the date of purchase for playability and functionality, however speakers in used amps are not covered under this warranty. This is not a money-back warranty. Playability warranties are not offered on guitars purchased online and shipped from the store due to the possibility of changes to the instrument resulting from shipment. For new items, manufacturer warranties also apply.

  • Trades

    We love to trade. For in-store trades, bring in the instrument(s) and if it is something we feel we can use, we will try to work out a deal that is mutually beneficial. For Internet trades, we need to see jpegs and will give you a tentative value on the instrument if we feel it is something we can use. Once we agree on a preliminary value, you ship the instrument to us at your expense for a final evaluation. We try hard to give realistic evaluations so as not to waste your time or ours. Once we have received your trade and agreed on its value, we will ship our instrument to you and you will have 48-hour approval once you receive it. If you decide not to complete the transaction, you are responsible for all shipping charges involved to undo the deal. (back to top)

  • Layaways

    Action Music offers a layaway option on any item in the store with a 20% deposit of the total cost of the item (excluding tax and/or shipping). Layaways are for six weeks from the date of first deposit. The customer is responsible for making payments so that the balance is paid off by the end of the six-week period. Any layaway not picked up and paid off within the six weeks will be returned to the sales floor with a 15% restocking fee on the total of the item (excluding tax and/or shipping). Internet and mail-order layaways forfeit the 48-hour approval period. There are NO returns on Internet or mail-order layaways.

  • Gift Certificates

    Action Music issues gift certificates in any denomination. We supply gift cards and envelopes. Gift certificates are good for one year from the date of issue.
